It's interesting to see all the different views

I think everyone can guess I'm a little amazed at the idea of this being built in Old Road (like behind Sharpenhoe Road) that nobody living there has been consulted, thankfully the planning process would give us the power to object even if the parish council has no interest in our views.

As Jenna has said why is this not being built on the recreation field in a suitable remote corner.

Another point I would question is why has there not been some sort of Pelican crossing placed on Sharpenhoe Road to allow children safer crossing to the recreation field and Scout Hut from Brookend Drive, this would leave the Luton Road entrance for cars?

with all this rain today maybe a swimming pool would be a better option?

My son said to me the other day he was told they now want to spend £30,000 on this... has anyone any information?

As a local resident to the proposed site in Old Road I'm very much against having the 'BMX Track' here. It'll just turn out to be another congregation point for youngsters to hang out at and vandalise, litter and leave their drug paraphernalia behind.

And since when was BMX'ing back in vogue anyway?

I'm assuming it'll be used as a skate park instead. Can't remember seeing many kids riding round on BMX's these days

Its all gone very quiet, but with BMX on the telly (in da Oilyimpics) I doubt it will be for long.
